"I’ve played with great players: Lionel Messi, Neymar, [Antoine] Griezmann, [Paul] Pogba, [Karim] Benzema... It would have been fun to play with Cristiano Ronaldo" - Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe laments missing opportunity to play alongside Ronaldo
Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe has recently discussed his disappointment at missing out on playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese legend is one of the best players ever to play the sport and is held in high esteem by fans across the globe.
Mbappe has played alongside some of the finest players in the sport's history. The Frenchman notably played with Ronaldo's eternal rival, Lionel Messi, at PSG. The pair played together 67 times and scored 34 goals in Paris.
However, the forward recently mused about missing the chance to play alongside Ronaldo in a recent interview, telling GOAl via Bein Sport:
"I’ve played with great players: Lionel Messi, Neymar, [Antoine] Griezmann, [Paul] Pogba, [Karim] Benzema... It would have been fun to play with Cristiano Ronaldo. It’s going to be very difficult now, but I was lucky enough to play against him, a legend of the sport."
Ronaldo is a Real Madrid legend, bagging the most goals in the history of the Spanish giants during his nine-year stay there - 451. Kylian Mbappe hopes to have a similar legacy at the club after his arrival in the summer.
