Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has opened up about an incident with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti during the El Clasico on Saturday, October 26. The Blaugrana hammered Los Blancos 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in LaLiga.

Raphinha had scored the fourth goal for Barca in the 84th minute to cap off an embarrassing night for the hosts. As Barcelona celebrated the Brazilian's goal, Carlo Ancelotti was seen pointing towards someone on their bench and saying something. After the game, he explained (via Metro):

“I didn’t argue with Hansi Flick, I got angry with one of his staff. He made gestures towards our bench, he didn’t act like a gentleman."

Flick also spoke about the incident after the match, saying:

"I haven’t seen it. I’ve spoken to him, but it’s a normal situation. We celebrated the goal. We’re adults enough to talk about this."

It was a poor defeat for Real Madrid against their arch-rivals. It also ended their 42-game unbeaten run in LaLiga and they fell one short of the record of 43 games, which is held by Barcelona.

Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for the Blaugrana in the 54th minute and added another just two minutes later. Lamine Yamal then became the youngster scorer in El Clasico history with his goal in the 77th minute while Raphinha added another in the 84th minute.

Hansi Flick assesses Barcelona's emphatic win over Real Madrid

In the first El Clasico of the season, Barcelona led down an exceptional marker under Hansi Flick. The LaLiga clash at the Santiago Bernabeu was an end-to-end affair in the first half. Barca created a few chances while their high line caught Real Madrid offside multiple times and the half ended goalless.

In the second half, Flick replaced Fermin Lopez with Frenkie de Jong and it seemed to bring control to their play. They dominated the game there on and were able to finish off their chances to seal a 4-0 win. Sharing his thoughts on the game, Flick said (via Metro):

"We started very well. In the first half, we did well. The defence was high up. It seems dangerous and risky, but it isn’t. It worked. In the end, we made the right changes at half-time. The players did very well. The players showed their quality in front of goal.
"Everyone knew what to do, in defence and in attack. I always say that we like to improve. Today wasn’t easy, but we defended well. We believe in our idea. But we have to keep going."

Barcelona sit atop the LaLiga table and are now six points above second-placed Real Madrid.
