Manchester United legend David Beckham has reacted to his Arsenal-supporting son's comment after the Red Devils lost to the Gunners at the Emirates. The two sides faced off at the Emirates Stadium on December 4, with the hosts winning the Premier League clash 2-0.

After the game, Beckham's son Romeo Beckham took to his Instagram Stories to mock his father's former club for the loss. He commented:

"Sleep well @davidbeckham"

However, the former No. 7 quipped in response:

"I will with all my trophies [six trophy emojis]"

Indeed, David Beckham won his fair share of trophies at Manchester United, especially during their glory years under Sir Alex Ferguson. He was a big part of their successes in the late 90s, winning the Premier League six times, alongside nine other trophies.

Understandably, he has little love for Arsenal, who have been the Red Devils' highly competitive rivals over the decades. It is worth noting that in the 17 games he played against them, while at Old Trafford, he has won five, drawn three, and lost nine.

However, losing nine games to the Gunners did little to stop Beckham and the Red Devils from enjoying their era of success.

Ruben Amorim speaks as Arsenal beat Manchester United

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has spoken after his team fell to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Arsenal. Both goals notably came from set-pieces, as he endured his first loss as Red Devils boss.

Speaking to the press after the game, Amorim discussed how the Gunners' set-piece took the game out of United's hands (via club website):

“We already knew that it would be a tough game. I think the corners changed the game, the set-pieces. Then we lost the momentum, we tried everything then to control the game again. You feel it in the first half, in the environment of the stadium, that we were causing problems. We need to improve in a lot of areas of our game, but we were controlling the game.”

He further spoke about their set-piece abilities, adding:

“They are very good because they have a lot of time working on that. Especially on that, they have big players for that, so it is a strategy, and we had two weeks to work on that. We tried to do it but we know every team in the Premier League is suffering with set-pieces."

In the 54th minute, Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber headed in a corner from the six-yard box. William Saliba doubled the score from another corner routine in the 73rd minute to complete the win over Manchester United.
