Manchester United forward Amad Diallo is ready to fight for the club irrespective of the position that he's asked to play. This latest comment comes in the aftermath of his brilliant display in the Red Devils' 4-0 win over Everton in the league on Sunday, December 1.
While speaking in an interview, Amad was asked about his best position. He said (via Centredevils on X):
"Wherever the manager puts me, I’m ready to fight for the team. I have no problem to play just as the right winger or no 10, I can play everywhere. Like I said to the manager, if you need me as a keeper, I’m ready to do my best."
Under Erik ten Hag's reign, Amad struggled to feature regularly as Antony was ahead of him in the pecking order. Last season, he made only 12 appearances for the Red Devils and registered three goal contributions.
However, Amad has been one of the stand-out players since Ruben Amorim's takeover as the head coach of the Red Devils. This season, he has scored three goals and registered five assists in 19 games.
Amad's current contract with the Red Devils expires next summer. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are currently looking to extend his contract at Old Trafford.
Manchester United interested in signing Theo Hernandez from AC Milan - Reports
Manchester United are interested in signing Theo Hernandez from AC Milan, as per Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri (via Caught Offside). Hernandez was previously linked with a potential move to Old Trafford last summer, but the deal didn't materialize.
In a bid to strengthen the left-back position, the Red Devils are monitoring Hernandez. This move could be tied to the persistent injury crisis of Luke Shaw.
As a left-back, Hernandez has proven to be solid in recent years. This season, he has registered four goal contributions in 16 appearances for AC Milan. Hernandez’s ability to feature as a left midfield could also stand to be pivotal for the Red Devils.
This is based on the idea that he could easily fit into Amorim's 3-4-2-1 formation. The Frenchman is contracted at Milan till June 2026, meaning his signing might not come cheap.
