Fans in disbelief as Arsenal star Ben White pulls off sneaky tactic on Spurs star before Gunners take lead

Arsenal defender Ben White pulled off a rather sneaky tactic during the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, and fans have taken to social media to register their reactions.

The Gunners had an opportunity to open the scoring in the 15th minute from a corner. Bukayo Saka whipped the ball towards the near post area and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg ended up heading it into his own net.

While all of this transpired, Arsenal defender Ben White and Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario were involved in a tussle in front of the goal. Notably, the Gunners full-back was seen on replays unstrapping the goalkeeper's glove, right before the ball came into the area from Saka (via Daily Mail).

A review never came from VAR, and the goal stood. Fans on social media were in disbelief at Ben White's antics. Here are some of their reactions:

"He is so good at this. Leaves the crime scene before the goal," said one fan.
"He just did it again 😂😂", another fan laughed.
"Is this even legal? 😂" a fan asked.
"I saw that! I laughed so hard! 😂" another fan was amused.
"Fast become my favourite player.. Super." a fan praised Ben White.
"White has done it again!!!" a fan posted.
"Love the way it's funny now. One day you'll cry about it when you're at the receiving end." a fan warned.

Here is a selection of their posts as they laughed in disbelief at Ben White's antics:

Arsenal continue their chase for the Premier League title

Arsenal watched as Liverpool virtually crashed out of the title race after amassing just five points in their last five league games. The Gunners, though, have been in much better form and only faced a blip against Aston Villa recently.

League leaders Arsenal are currently four points ahead of Manchester City, who have two games in hand. Therefore, the Gunners will hope that the defending champions drop points in their upcoming games to give them the upper hand in the title race.
