France national team head coach Didier Deschamps provided an update on whether Kylian Mbappe will be available for their upcoming clash against the Netherlands in Euro 2024. The match will take place on June 21 at Red Bull Arena, Leipzig.
The Blues captain suffered a nose injury in their Euro 2024 1-0 win in their opener against Austria on June 17 at the Merkur Spiel Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany. During the last minutes of the match, Mbappe had a bad collision with Austrian defender Kevin Danso and fell to the ground with a bleeding nose.
Later, the French Football Federation (FFF) provided an update on Mbappe’s nose. They mentioned that the 25-year-old forward had suffered a nose fracture and would have to wear a mask for medical purposes when he will return to the pitch.
