Former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique felt that Real Madrid got favorable decisions during the El Clasico on Sunday night (April 21). Pique believes no penalty should have been given for the alleged foul on Lucas Vazquez and a 'legal goal' was not granted in Barcelona's favor.

Speaking to influencer and streamer Ibai Llanos in a TikTok video, Pique felt the penalty kick was 'incorrect', referring to the alleged foul committed by Pau Cubarsi on Madrid player Lucas Vasquez during the match.

During the conversation, Pique further alleged that Vasquez changed the position of his right foot to collide with Cubarsi.'

“The penalty kick is incorrect. Pau Cubarsí didn't do anything, he was just standing there. Vazquez changed the position of his right foot to collide with Cubarsí," Pique said.

The Spanish defender also talked about the controversial decision to not grant a goal to Lamine Yamal during the match. The ball allegedly 'went in' as per the Spanish defender.

"Regarding the goal, there must be at least a camera on the crossbar. I feel like the ball went in, but I understand they can't confirm that," Pique said.

Gerard Pique made 616 appearances across competitions for the La Liga club between 2008 and 2022, scoring 52 goals in the process. His last professional game was an away fixture to Osasuna where he was sent off following a straight red card.

Xavi shared similar Gerard Pique's views about alleged unfavorable decisions towards Barcelona in El Clasico

Last night marked the Catalan club's third consecutive defeat in an El Clasico this season. There were two controversial refereeing decisions taken during the Sunday night El Clasico, leading to Real Madrid's victory on a 3-2 scoreline.

Barcelona conceded a controversial penalty in the 17th minute for an alleged foul committed on Lucas Vazquez by Pau Cubarsi. No VAR check was conducted to confirm the penalty.

The second controversial decision was not granting a goal to Barcelona in the 29th minute. Lamine Yamal took a shot to convert their fifth corner of the evening into a goal which allegedly went beyond the goal line. However, the referee's goal alarm did not buzz and after conducting a VAR check, no goal was granted.

Blaugrana coach Xavi shared similar views to Gerard Pique. Following the match, he criticized La Liga for not having goal-line technology and claimed that it was a clear goal as the ball went in.

"The league we consider to be the best league in the world does not have goal-line technology! Everyone saw it, the ball went in," Xavi said (via Managing Barca).

Fermin Lopez scored another goal for the Catalan club in the 69th minute but Madrid equalized just four minutes later. Los Blancos went on to win the match with Bellingham scoring the winning goal in stoppage time.
