Ruben Amorim has stated that Manchester United players will have to fight thoroughly if they intend to win the Premier League title. This comes after Arsenal secured a 2-0 win over the Red Devils in the league on Wednesday, December 4.
At a recent press conference, Amorim spoke about what it takes to win the Premier League title, saying (via Fabrizio Romano):
"It’s impossible to win the Premier League without a team that fights for every moment, runs back, runs forward. Even with the best starting XI on the planet, without running they will not win nothing."
He added:
"If we want to win the PL, we have to run like mad dogs."
Despite several managerial reforms and player investments, Manchester United has failed to win the Premier League title since the 2012-13 campaign.
This season, the Red Devils have picked up 19 points from 14 games and are 13th in the league table. Amorim has his work cut out as he looks to restore Manchester United to their glory days.
The Red Devils will face Nottingham Forest in their next league game today, (December 7).
Manchester United are exploring the possibility of signing Son Heung-min - Reports
Manchester United have identified Son Heung-min as one of their transfer targets, as per GiveMeSport (via Transfer News Live on X). The 32-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Tottenham Hotspur which would expire in June 2025.
If Son fails to sign a new contract with Tottenham, the Red Devils could sign him as a free agent. The South Korean international is presently one of the longest-serving players at Tottenham and he's also a leader in the dressing room. He joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen for a reported €30 million fee in August 2015.
In 423 games, he has scored 166 goals and registered 88 assists. This season, Son has netted four goals and has provided four assists in 15 appearances. If signed, his experience as a left-winger in the Premier League could enhance the Red Devils' attack.
