Journalist says Liverpool superstar is not keen on move away from club amid links to Turkey

Journalist Florian Plettenberg has commented on Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch's future at Anfield amidst his tranfer links.

Gravenberch, 21, has contributed four goals and two assists in 35 games across competitions this season for the Reds, starting 21 times. Despite being contracted to Anfield till 2028, reports have linked the Dutchman to Galatasaray.

However. Plettenberg dismissed the same, saying that the player is looking forward to proving himself under a new boss next season, tweeting:

"Ryan Gravenberch currently has no intention of leaving Liverpool in the summer. A move to Turkey is not planned. He feels comfortable at LFC and wants to prove himself under the new coach in the upcoming season. Contract valid until 2028. 4 goals and 2 assists this season."

Gravenberch arrived at the Reds last summer from Bayern Munich but hasn't been a regular starter under outgoing manager Jurgen Klopp, who's leaving at the end of the season.

That has seen the Dutchman linked with moves away from Anfield, but as per Plettenberg's tweet, the reports seem far off the mark, with the player seemingly eyeing a long future at the club.

Liverpool have had a decent season. They were in the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple before defeats to Manchester United (FA Cup) and Atalanta (UEFA Europa League) - both in the quarterfinals - scuppered those hopes.

In a latest setback of sorts, a 2-0 midweek Premier League defeat at Everton has left the Reds three points adrift of leaders Arsenal with just four games remaining. Jurgen Klopp's side dropped points again in their next outing, drawing 2-2 at West Ham United on Saturday (April 27).

Up next, the Reds take on Tottenham Hotspur at home on May 5, aware that their title hopes are not in their own hands, having played a game more than Arsenal and two more than second-placed Manchester City.

With just one win in their last five league games, the Reds' hopes of a second Premier League triumph are all but over unless the Gunners and City drop points in their remaining games.
