Journalist shuts down rumors linking Chelsea star with a move to Manchester United.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has dismissed rumors about Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku making a potential transfer to Manchester United. The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the winter transfer window for a while now.

Nkunku has been struggling to get minutes on the pitch in his preferred position and has been playing as a backup to Nicolas Jackson, specifically in the Carabao Cup and Europa Conference League.

The Frenchman has started in 12 matches out of the 27 appearances he has made for Chelsea this season while registering 12 goals and four assists. Most of his goal contributions were made in the Carabao Cup and Europa Conference League, with only two goals and one assist being recorded in the Premier League.

Multiple reports suggested that Christopher Nkunku is looking for a move away from Stamford Bridge in January and that Manchester United are keen on acquiring his signature. However, during an interview with mufcMPB presenter Anil Kandola on YouTube, journalist Ben Jacobs claimed that the Red Devils are no longer in the running to sign the centre-forward.

While addressing the reports linking Marcus Rashford to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Jacobs mentioned that the Ligue 1 club might be more interested in signing Christopher Nkunku. Thus, he shut down rumors about the Frenchman's potential arrival at Old Trafford. The journalist said (15:26):

"I'd keep more of an eye on PSG and possibly a profile like Christopher Nkunku if the player asked to leave. I think it's very unlikely that Chelsea would list Nkunku or offer Nkunku but if there was ever a situation where Nkunku said 'I want out,' then as I think I've told you before, my understanding is Manchester United, despite the links not in the mix for Nkunku."

Along with Manchester United, Christopher Nkunku has recently been linked with a move to Arsenal. With his current contract at Chelsea being valid until the summer of 2029, it remains to be seen if the PSG academy player ends up somewhere other than Stamford Bridge this year.

Chelsea reportedly join Real Madrid and Manchester United in race to sign Dean Huijsen

Chelsea are reportedly set to battle Real Madrid and Manchester United to sign 19-year-old Premier League breakout star, Dean Huijsen. The centre-back joined Bournemouth from Juventus on a six-year deal in July 2024 for a reported fee of €15.2 million.

Since his arrival at the Cherries, Huijsen has played 14 games across competitions, contributing to three clean sheets and scoring two goals in the Premier League.

Chelsea journalist and podcast host Simon Philips (as reported by CaughtOffside) has claimed that the Blues have Huijsen on their transfer target list and are likely to make an offer for the defender in January. Although Enzo Maresca's squad has six centre-backs, they are considering the Juventus academy graduate as a backup option amid Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile's respective injuries.

Real Madrid's reported interest in Dean Huijsen comes amid their injury woes in the defense line, having Eder Militao and David Alaba sidelined with long-term injuries. Manchester United, on the other hand, have been underwhelming this season, standing 14th on the Premier League table, and are looking to strengthen their backline in January.
