Liverpool boss Arne Slot has explained why it is too early to assume that his side are the favorites to win the Premier League this season. After 15 matchdays, the Reds sit comfortably atop the Premier League table with 36 points. They are closely followed by Chelsea and Arsenal at 34 and 30 points, respectively.
Liverpool have arguably been the best side in Europe this season. Under their new manager Arne Slot, the English giants have lost just one game throughout the season.
In addition to the Premier League, Liverpool sit atop the UEFA Champions League table with 18 points in six games. They are closely followed by Hansi Flick's Barcelona with 15.
The Dutch tactician insisted on the little things that have gone their way this season in an interview two days before Liverpool take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. He said (as quoted by Tribal Football):

"As I have said for the last three or four months, judge the table after 19 games because then everyone has played the same opponents. Probably we had a bit of luck, for example Arsenal had a lot of red cards in the beginning of the season that's why they dropped points. We have now received a red card and we dropped points. We now have Tottenham away which Arsenal had at the beginning of the season, Chelsea already played there."
He concluded by saying:
"Don't look at it where you were in the season it is about where you are at the end of the season."

However, Spurs won this fixture last season by a scoreline of 2-1 - their only victory against The Reds since the 2017-18 season. Speaking about the upcoming clash, Arne Slot lavished praise on Spurs and their manager Postecoglou. He said (via Tribal Football):
"They are consistent in their playing style and what they want. They can be unlucky as well, what happened yesterday they dominated the game. They always like to attack, he (Ange Postecoglou) plays always with three attackers, two attacking midfielders and his full-backs join the attack so much.
"People say 'why do you bring the ball out from the back' because they lost the ball and the second one the goalkeeper kicked it away."
Raving about their style of play, Slot said:
