Juventus teenage sensation Kenan Yildiz has matched an achievement last recorded by Cristiano Ronaldo with his goal against Torino in Serie A. The 19-year-old forward found the net for Thiago Motta's side as they picked up a point from their derby meeting following a 1-1 draw.
Former Bayern Munich youngster Yildiz opened the scoring for his side only eight minutes into the contest after showing great skill before sending an effort into the bottom corner. In scoring for his side, he made it two goals in the Derby della Mole this season, having also found the net in a 2-0 league win back in November.
Yildiz became the first Juventus player since Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2018-19 season to score home and away against Torino. The Turkiye international emulated Ronaldo, who scored the lone goal for his side in a win in December 2018 before scoring another to earn them a draw in April 2019.
Motta's side were pegged back by Nikola Vlasic as Torino claimed a point, stretching their winless run against Juventus to ten years. The Bianconeri remain unbeaten in the league this season, with 12 draws and seven wins from their opening 19 games under Motta.
Kenan Yildiz appears to be growing into an attacking superstar for the club this season, as Ronaldo was for a few years. The teenager is often the brightest spark for his club and has recorded four goals and two assists in 19 league appearances this term.
Cristiano Ronaldo extends impressive goalscoring record as Al-Nassr return to winning ways
Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his impressive record as he scored his first goal of 2025 to lead his side to a 3-1 win over Al-Akhdoud in the Saudi Pro League. The 39-year-old scored for a 24th straight year, strengthening his claims of longevity over his peers.
Ronaldo found the net from the penalty spot after Sadio Mane had been brought down to score his 11th league goal of the season. The Portugal international has now scored in every calendar year since 2002 since scoring his first goals in October of 2002 as a Sporting CP player.
Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be going strong a month from his 40th birthday, with over 900 career goals to his name. The forward was named as the Middle East Player of the Year in the Globe Football Awards last month.
