Chelsea legend Frank Lampard recently built his ultimate midfielder, combining traits from multiple midfielders. He chose the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Steven Gerrard and also named himself twice.

Lampard is widely considered one of the best Premier League midfielders of all time. In a recent interview with ESPN, he was asked to build his ultimate midfielder, while choosing a player for each individual trait.

He picked Kevin De Bruyne for passing, Declan Rice for work rate, Phil Foden for vision, and Yaya Toure for strength. For skills, he picked Andres Iniesta, and for technique, he picked Steven Gerrard. He then picked himself in both finishing and Football IQ.

Lampard was known for his ability to arrive late in the box and score loads of goals. He is even Chelsea's all-time top scorer with 211 goals and 146 assists in 648 games. He spent 13 years at the club between 2001 and 2014 and won multiple trophies.

Kevin De Bruyne and Steven Gerrard are also widely regarded as two of the greatest Premier League midfielders of all time. De Bruyne is second on the list of most assists in the league's history with 112, only behind Ryan Giggs with 162. Gerrard, meanwhile, captained Liverpool to great success during his career despite never winning the English top flight.

Chelsea willing to offer Trevoh Chalobah in a deal to sign Premier League player: Reports

As per The Guardian, Chelsea would be willing to offer Trevoh Chalobah in a potential deal to sign Nottingham Forest defender Murillo. They have identified the Brazilian as a transfer target but the Tricky Trees value him at around £70 million.

Chalobah came through the Blues' academy and has made 80 senior appearances for them. He made just 17 appearances across competitions last season due to injury issues. With the west London side signing Tosin Adarbioyo this summer, the competition for places is expected to increase.

Chelsea are also looking to sell Chalobah because as an academy product, the fee from his sale would be considered pure profit. They need to sell players to stay within the limit of the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Nottingham are in the same boat but are set to sell Moussa Niakhate to Olympique Lyon. Hence, they might not be desperate to sell Murillo and hold out to the aforementioned fee. Chalobah is also unlikely to be willing to join the Tricky Trees, who battled relegation last season as he's looking to compete in European competitions.
