Leicester City have become the latest side to join the race to sign Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho, who has performed well in pre-season. The Foxes are keen on making further additions to their squad as the start of the Premier League season approaches.

Portugal U21 international Carvalho has had a chance to get into the good graces of new Liverpool boss Arne Slot this summer after an unremarkable 2023-24 campaign. The forward spent the first half of the season on loan at RB Leipzig before spending the second half at Hull City.

Carvalho has been one of the standout stars for the Reds in their pre-season tour of the USA this summer. With a number of first-team regulars yet to return to the squad, the 21-year-old has had a chance to impress the manager. He scored in the Reds' wins over Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United to thrust himself into the manager's plans.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Leicester City are keen on signing the former Fulham youngster, who struggled to perform under Jurgen Klopp. The Foxes are in talks with the Reds for the forward, who may find regular game time difficult to come by once the season starts.

Carvalho was the subject of an offer from Southampton earlier this summer, with the Saints reportedly sending a bid of £15 million, which was rejected by Liverpool. The Reds will only consider selling the Portuguese youngster if their valuation of him is met.

Fabio Carvalho would be a fine addition for Leicester City, who are keen on being competitive in their first season back in the top-flight. They have already signed Caleb Okoli, Bobby Decordova-Reid, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Michael Golding this summer.

Liverpool keen on Argentine youngster - Reports

The Reds are looking to add some quality to their back-line by signing Lanus left-back Julio Soler this summer, as per TyC Sports. Liverpool are interested in the 19-year-old, who starred for Argentina at the Olympics this summer.

Born in Paraguay to Paraguayan parents, Soler has opted to represent Argentina, the country where he has lived since his childhood. The teenager was named in the squad for the Olympics by Javier Mascherano, and he played four times in the competition.

Reports indicate that a bid of around £12 million will be enough to sign Soler, who is viewed by Liverpool as the long-term heir to Andy Robertson. The youngster has only 36 senior club appearances but could soon find himself plying his trade in the Premier League.
