According to a report by Uriel Lugt, Lionel Messi's Inter Miami are considering a move for 31-year-old Argentine goalkeeper Nahuel Losada. The Miami-based outfit are keen on strengthening their team ahead of next season and build on their Supporters' Shield triumph this year.
Losada joined his current club, Lanus, from Belgrano in the summer for a reported €1.1 million fee. He has kept nine clean sheets in 22 games for the side and conceded 19 goals. He will be expected to compete with Herons' keeper Drake Callender.
Callender was part of the Inter Miami team before Lionel Messi arrived. The 27-year-old American joined the Miami-based franchise in 2019 on a free transfer from UC Berkeley. He has made 115 appearances for the club, conceding 178 goals and keeping 18 clean sheets.
After Javier Mascherano's appointment as manager, the Herons will have the close season to figure out their goalkeeping situation. The franchise will be keen to head into the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup with the best possible squad.
Inter Miami considering a move for Lionel Messi's former Barcelona teammate - Report
According to a report by Ole, Inter Miami are considering signing Lionel Messi's former Barcelona teammate Marc Bartra. The American franchise is looking to strengthen its team before its debut at the expanded 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the USA.
Bartra came through La Blaugrana's academy before making 103 appearances for the senior team. He played 74 games with the legendary Argentine and they combined for seven goals.
The 33-year-old centre-back would bring experience and pedigree to the MLS franchise if signed. With 14 caps for La Roja under his belt and FIFA Club World Cup experience, he would be a solid addition to the team for their upcoming campaign in the competition.
Bartra is in the final year of his contract with LaLiga side Real Betis and could be available for a cheap fee in January. The defender will join the rest of the Blaugrana alumni at the club if a move goes through, with Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suarez having moved to Inter Miami since Messi's arrival.
