Lionel Messi's wife Antonela Roccuzzo has signed with Adidas, the sportswear giants have announced. The eight-time Ballon d'Or is already on the German brand's payroll, having signed a lifetime contract in 2017.

That deal is reportedly worth $1bn, while Messi has his signature branding with the sportswear group. The Argentinean reportedly has a profit-sharing agreement in his contract with MLS side Inter Miami as well.

As a mother of three young children and a prominent socialite, Roccuzzo will promote Adidas' lifestyle and training lines. She has often been seen wearing the brand's products.

Lionel Messi initially teamed up with Adidas in 2006, following his explosive entrance into the scenes with Barcelona. The Argentinean opted to severe ties with Nike to join the German brand. Interestingly, Nike represents Messi's rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

Adidas has hugely benefitted from their association with the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner so far. Lionel Messi is now a global brand and a marketing success, thanks to his unmatched achievements on the pitch.

The Argentinean has won 46 titles in his career, the most by a football player in the history of the beautiful game. He has found success with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Miami so far.

La Pulga has also fulfilled his legacy with his nation, guiding them to the coveted FIFA World Cup in 2022. The 37-year-old has also won two Copa America titles and one Finalissima with La Albiceleste. He has scored 112 goals and set up 61 more from 191 games across competitions for Argentina.

Lionel Messi is under contract with Inter Miami until the end of 2025. The Argentinean arrived at the Chase Stadium in the summer of 2023, after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) expired.

The Argentinean enjoyed a decent start to life in the MLS, winning the Leagues Cup in his debut campaign. He was in superb form this season as well, registering 23 goals and 13 assists from 25 games across competitions.

La Pulga helped the Herons finish at the top of the Eastern Conference table in the MLS, subsequently winning the Supporters' Shield. However, he failed to guide Inter Miami beyond the first round of the MLS Playoffs, faltering at the hands of Atlanta United.

The Argentinean's season is now over and he will be seen in action in January when the new MLS campaign starts.
