Liverpool coach Arne Slot wants the club to make an effort to sign Dutch forward Xavi Simons from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the summer, as per SPORT (via Tribal Football). The young Dutchman is on the radar of several of Europe's top sides after performing with consistency in the last two years.
Xavi Simons is regarded as one of the most talented players of his age group, having shown his quality in the Netherlands and Germany aged just 21. He is presently on loan at RB Leipzig for a second successive season, having spent the 2023-24 season on loan at the club, too.
Arne Slot wants Liverpool to try and sign the youngster in the summer of 2025 when his loan deal with Leipzig comes to an end. PSG will reportedly look to get around €80 million for the forward if they agree to allow him to move elsewhere.

A former Barcelona prodigy, Simons was known as one of the most gifted young players in the Spanish club's youth setup, but chose to move to PSG in 2019. The forward made his debut for the French club in February 2021 aged 17, while he also regularly played for their U-19 team.
The youngster moved to PSV in 2022, where he thrived and earned the Eredivisie Top Scorer award, while also helping his side win the KNVB Cup. He immediately re-joined PSG in 2023, but has yet to play for the club since then.
