Omar Marmoush would be open to a move to Liverpool, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg. The Egyptian forward has caught the eye with Eintracht Frankfurt of late and already has admirers at Anfield.

The Reds are laying down succession plans for Mohamed Salah, who is on the wrong side of 30. Moreover, the player's contract with the Merseyside club expires at the end of this campaign and he hasn't signed a new deal yet.

Marmoush could be a fantastic successor for his countryman at Liverpool, although he operates on the left wing. The 25-year-old has registered 10 goals and seven assists from 11 games across competitions for the Bundesliga side this season.

His contract at the Waldstadion runs until 2027, which means that the next summer is the ideal time for Eintracht Frankfurt to secure a fat fee for their prized asset. The Reds have been eyeing him with interest for a while and have reportedly initiated contact with the player's entourage.

The Merseyside club are keen to complete a move as they enter a transition phase under Arne Slot. The Dutch manager has registered Liverpool's best start to a campaign in their history, winning 11 of his first 12 games.

The Reds want to back him up with a squad that can sustain their rise and their interest in Marmoush is justified. The player is also willing to move to the Premier League, and the Merseyside club won't have any problem matching Eintracht Frankfurt's asking price either.

Mohamed Salah has been an integral part of Liverpool's rise under Jurgen Klopp. The Egyptian joined the Reds from AS Roma in 2017 and went on to etch his name in the Merseyside club's folklore.

Interestingly, Salah had previously failed to impress with Chelsea, so his move to Anfield raised quite some eyebrows. However, any doubts were soon put to bed, with the Egyptian proving his naysayers wrong.

The 32-year-old has won the Premier League and the Champions League, among others, so far with Liverpool. He forged a terrific front three with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, although both players have left the club in recent years.

Salah has appeared 361 times for the Reds to date, scoring 218 goals and setting up 96 more. The Merseyside club are already locked in talks to tie him down to a new deal, although a breakthrough hasn't been achieved yet. There's a lot of interest in the player's signature from the Middle East.
