Liverpool ready massive offer to sign PSG and Chelsea target to bolster attack - Reports

Liverpool are reportedly preparing a big offer for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who's also been linked with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). They are looking for a player plus cash deal to secure the Georgian forward's signature.

Kvaratskhelia has been a key player for Napoli since arriving from Dinamo Batumi in 2022. He helped them win the Serie A title in his first season at the club. However, as per Fichajes.net, his contract negotiations with the Italian giants have stalled. With his deal expiring in 2027, he could be open to leaving this year.

Kvaratskhelia's situation has alerted numerous top clubs in Europe, including Liverpool, Chelsea, and PSG. The Merseysiders are preparing a massive £97.5 million bid for the winger, including two players in a swap deal. They could offer Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez to Napoli.

Chiesa joined the Reds last summer from Juventus but has made just four appearances across competitions this season. Nunez, meanwhile, joined Liverpool from Benfica for a reported fee of €100 million in 2022. He's failed to make a big impact, recording 37 goals and 20 assists in 121 games.

As per the aforementioned report, PSG are currently the frontrunners to sign Kvaratskhelia. However, an opportunity to player in the Premier League coupled with a big offer could tempt both the forward and Napoli.

Arne Slot opens up on Liverpool's links with Chelsea and PSG target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Liverpool are set to face Accrington Stanley at Anfield in the FA Cup third round on Saturday, January 11. In his pre-match press conference, manager Arne Slot was asked about his side's links to Kvaratskhelia and he answered (via Liverpoolfc.com):

"What I make of that is it is January. I think I said it after the West Ham game that don't disappoint me, please come up with all these clubs and all these players that are in the interest from us or the ones that don't play a lot for us are going to go somewhere else! Yeah, that's what's happening now.

"Nine out of 10 times, 99 times out of 100 times in the end of the window, it's been clear that almost all of these stories weren't true. So, what can I comment about it? That the rumours keep going for it, but no comments from my side."

Kvaratskhelia has scored five goals and provided three assists in 19 games across competitions this season. Alongside the Merseysiders, Chelsea and PSG, Manchester United are also interested in the Georgian.
