Liverpool star Ibrahima Konate recently shared a picture of Trent Alexander-Arnold on social media with a reference to the popular Anime, My Hero Academia. The English defender was pictured in a dark hoodie and sweatpants with a bandaid on his torso. It was reminiscent of the character named 'All Might' from the popular animated show.
Konate and Alexander-Arnold have played together since the Frenchman joined the English giants in 2021. The pair have taken to the pitch 72 times together and combined for one goal in 5509 minutes. Their time together has yielded two League Cups and one FA Cup win.
Trent Alexnder-Arnold is in the final year of his contract with Liverpool, with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2025. The two defenders next line up for the Reds over the weekend when they face Brighton and Hove Albion for the second time this week.
“Is Mr Sergio Ramos really a good guy? He’s not my favorite player- Former Liverpool manager shares opinion on Real Madrid legend
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has shared his feelings about Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos in a recent podcast. The celebrated tactician shared that he was not fond of the legendary Spanish defender following his incident with Mohamed Salah in the UEFA Champions League final in 2018.
Ramos played 671 games for Los Blancos during his time in the Spanish capital, scoring an immense 101 goals and providing 40 assists. His challenge inadvertently dislocated Salah's shoulder during the 2018 UEFA Champions League final before the Spanish giants bagged a 3-1 win.
Speaking with Toni Kroos, who played 223 times alongside the defender at Madrid, on the former midfielder's podcast Einfach mal Lupen, Klopp said:
“Is Mr Sergio Ramos really a good guy? He’s not my favorite player. The action was brutal. Of course, he can’t know that it’s bothering his shoulder, but we all know that he accepted it very happily. I could never understand that mentality, I never had players like that and, when I did, I made sure they left.”
The German tactician concluded:
“He may not be my favourite player, but it doesn’t matter. I always thought that my centre-backs were good enough not to be involved in actions like that.”
Six years after the fateful incident, Sergio Ramos is without a club after departing Sevilla this summer. Mohamed Salah remains with Liverpool but is currently in the final year of his contract.
