Liverpool star Mohamed Salah recently revealed the advice he got from Arsene Wenger. The Egyptian claims that that legendary manager told him the key difference between good players and really good players is the focus.

Speaking to the Reds' official media channels, Salah recalled his conversation with Wenger and disclosed that he asked for advice from the former Arsenal manager. The forward said that the Frenchman told him that the level of focus in the game makes all the difference. He said (via talkSPORT):

"He was at Melwood, and I asked him, 'What's the difference between a good player and a really good player?' [He told me] The very, very good player is always focused on the game. Even if he doesn't have the momentum, he stays in the game until the last minute or until the whistle. Some games, I don't have momentum, I don't have the game. But I'm always focused. I always find the moment."

Mohamed Salah played and scored for Chelsea in Arsene Wenger's infamous 1000th match in charge. The Blues thrashed the Gunners 6-0 at Stamford Bridge, with the Egyptian scoring the final goal of the match.

Mohamed Salah hints at leaving Liverpool at the end of the season

Mohamed Salah has hinted that he could be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. In a cryptic post earlier this season, he thanked the fans for their support and claimed that he would never forget the feeling of scoring at Anfield. He posted:

"Top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less. All teams win matches but there's only 1 champion in the end. That's what we want. Thank you for your support last night. No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like."

Earlier in the season after the win over Manchester United, the Liverpool forward indicated that it could have been his last match at Old Trafford. He said (via Eurosport):

"I had a good summer, a long time to stay with myself and think positively a bit. As you know, this is my last year with the club and I want to enjoy it. I don't want to think about it; I feel I am free to play football - we will see what happens next year."

When quizzed about his contract, he added:

"To be fair I was coming to the game, it could be the last time [playing at Old Trafford]. Nobody in the club has talked to me about contracts. It is not up to me, it is up to the club."

Salah has just a few months left on his contract at Liverpool. Liverpool also have Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk in a similar contract situation.
