Liverpool target Milos Kerkez sends message to Reds star

Liverpool target Milos Kerkez has sent a message to Reds midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai following their 2-0 win against Manchester City. Arne Slot's side recorded a statement win against Pep Guardiola's side on Sunday (December 1) to go 11 points clear of the reigning champions.

Szoboszlai had a fantastic game for the Merseyside giants, as he recorded a passing accuracy of 83% (48/58), created four chances, made seven recoveries, and won four of his six duels. The victory saw them go nine points clear at the top of the table (Arsenal are second with 25 points).

After the game, Szoboszlai took to Instagram to celebrate the triumph. The Hungary international posted on Instagram:

"Amazing night under the lights! Next up, Wednesday."

Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, Szoboszlai's international teammate, joined the Hungary skipper in celebrations after the Manchester City game. The 21-year-old commented "Big bro," accompanied by heart and lightning emojis.

Milos Kerkez has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in recent months following his exploits for Bournemouth. The bombarding left-back joined the Cherries in 2023 from AZ and has done well for them.

The full-back has made 46 appearances for Bournemouth to date, having contributed with one goal and three assists. He scored his first Bournemouth goal in their 4-2 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the league on November 30.

Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes played a key role in bringing Kerkez to Dean Court while he was at the club. He is reportedly looking to reunite with the left-back once again at Anfield.

The Reds have Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas as options at left-back but could do with reinforcements. Robertson, now aged 30, has shown signs of his age.

Tsimikas has been a reliable deputy but Kerkez is a player who can replace Robertson for many years to come. The Merseyside giants, however, could face competition for Kerkez, with Manchester United also credited with interest in the full-back.

Liverpool set to make a move for LaLiga midfielder valued at €80 million

Liverpool are reportedly set to make a move for red-hot Athletic Bilbao midfielder Oihan Sancet. As claimed by Spanish media outlet Fichajes.net, the 24-year-old has caught the Reds' attention, thanks to his exploits for the Basque club this season.

Sancet has been a surprising outlet for goals for Ernesto Valverde's side this season, as they find themselves fourth in the La Liga table. The Spain international has found the back of the net eight times in 15 games across competitions this campaign.

The Spaniard is predominantly an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a number eight and on the flanks. His frame of 6ft 2in and technical abilities make him a rather unique player who could add a new dimension to Arne Slot's side. Liverpool are believed to be readying an €80 million move for the Spain international who is capped four times for La Roja.
