Newcastle United have reportedly joined the race to sign Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo, who's already on the transfer radar of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, as per GiveMeSport.

As per the report, Bournemouth fear losing Semenyo to a bigger club, similar to how they lost Dominic Solanke to Tottenham in the summer. The Cherries signed the Ghanaian forward in January 2023 from Bristol City for a reported transfer fee of £10.5 million.

During that time, they faced competition from the likes of Celtic, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Southampton for Semenyo's services. The 24-year-old has since become a breakout star in the Premier League.

Semenyo has made 55 appearances for Bournemouth so far, bagging 12 goals and three assists across competitions. During the summer transfer window, Newcastle failed to sign their top targets such as Marc Guehi, Michael Olise and Anthony Elanga. As a result, they'll be keen to recruit the 24-year-old in their forward line.

Liverpool to sign Bundesliga defender as Virgil van Dijk's replacement next summer: Reports

Arne Slot's Liverpool are looking to sign Borussia Dortmund's Nico Schlotterbeck next summer, as per CaughtOffside.

The Reds are reportedly preparing a €50 million offer for the German defender, with his annual salary at around €7 million. However, Newcastle United could potentially join the Merseyside club in their pursuit of Schlotterbeck after they failed to sign Marc Guehi this summer.

The Reds see the German defender as a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk, who's contract will expire in the summer of 2025. Schlotterbeck joined Borussia Dortmund in July 2022 from SC Freiburg. Since then, he has become an integral part of the team and has made 96 appearances across all competitions, bagging six goals and 12 assists.

The 24-year-old has also made 17 appearances for the German National team. He played two matches each during the 2024 European Championships and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
