Geovany Quenda, who has been heavily linked to Manchester United, broke a 22-year-old record held by Cristiano Ronaldo in Sporting CP's league clash with Benfica on Sunday. The right winger made his senior debut for the Portuguese club in 2023.

After appearing in the Liga Portugal clash, Geovany Quenda, aged 17 years and eight months, became the youngest in club's history to feature in the Lisbon derby. This record was previously held by Cristiano Ronaldo, who appeared in the derby in December 2002 at the age of 17 years and 10 months.

Quenda has turned heads with his impressive performances for Sporting since making his first-team debut on August 4. After netting in their 4-3 loss to FC Porto in the Supertaça Candido de Oliveira, he became the youngest goalscorer in the club's history at the age of 17 years and 95 days.

Since his first-team debut under former head coach Ruben Amorim, Geovany Quenda has featured in all of Sporting's 16 league matches this season. With the Portuguese manager's departure to Old Trafford in November, the young talent has been linked with a move to United.

The Portuguese prodigy has registered two goals and three assists in 27 appearances across competitions for Sporting this season. While his current contract runs till 2027, it remains to be seen if Geovany Quenda and Ruben Amorim reunite at United.

Manchester United's Casemiro reportedly set to join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is ready to make a move to the Saudi Pro League amid interest from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr. The Brazilian star was reportedly linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.

Multiple reports suggested that Casemiro isn't included in head coach Ruben Amorim's plans. Now, according to Brazilian outlet UOL, the 32-year-old is set to part ways with Manchester United in the upcoming January transfer window. Along with Cristiano Ronaldo's side, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Ettifaq and Al-Qadsiah are also reportedly interested in signing the former Saao Paulo graduate.

Casemiro has started in 16 off 22 appearances across competitions for the Red Devils this season, registering three goals.
