Fulham and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat despite a lackluster performance this season. A report from The Sun states that the Morocco international's recent performances have impressed the two clubs.

Amrabat, 27, joined Old Trafford on a season-long loan from Italian side Florentina for a reported fee of £8.5 million. The deal reportedly included a clause for United to purchase the midfielder for £21.4 million at the end of the season.

As per the report, the aforementioned clubs might make a move for the midfielder should United choose to not make his move permanent. The Eagles, in particular, are said to have been impressed by the midfielder when he came off the bench in United's 0-4 loss at Selhurst Park.

Sofyan Amrabat has featured in 28 games across all competitions of which he's only started 11 games. Sadly, he has failed to net a goal or even register an assist, which is pretty unprecedented for a midfielder.

The Morocco international has failed to have the kind of impact that was expected of him, especially when paired alongside experienced players like Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro. He recently started for Manchester United, in their 0-1 loss to Arsenal and a 3-2 win over Newcastle United.

However, if reports are to be believed, his stint with The Red Devils might be coming to an end soon, as Erik ten Hag might want to offload deadweight to make room for newer additions.

Be that as it may, Amrabat will play at least two more games for Manchester United. The Red Devils take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, May 19 and Manchester City in the final of the FA Cup on May 25.

Manchester United keen on signing Frenkie de Jong from Ajax

Erik ten Hag had the privilege of watching Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong grow from his time at Ajax. De Jon joined Barcelona in the summer of 2019 and has done really well for the Catalans.

Manchester United have been linked with the Dutchman ever since Ten Hag arrived at Old Trafford but a move has not materlized. According to a report by 'TheHardTackle' The Red Devils might reignite their pursuit of the 27-year-old midfielder in order to bolster their squad.

However, following his club's run-of-the-mill performances, it's currently unknown whether Erik ten Hag will continue as United's manager. Thomas Tuchel, who recently announced that he would be leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season, is reportedly (reported by Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk) keen on returning to English shores.

The club may look at him as a possible replacement for the Dutchman should they choose to relieve him of his services. If the move materalises, Tuchel will be reunited with Mason Mount, a player he closely worked with during his stint with Chelsea.
