Manchester United and Manchester City are set to battle against each other for the signature of two Croatian talents in the 2025 summer transfer window. Croatian starlets Petar Sucic and Martin Baturina are in the running for arriving in Manchester, with both clubs eyeing them up with anticipation, as per TBR Football.

City already have Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic in their ranks, while United do not have a legacy of Croatian players in their ranks. Sucic and Baturina both play for Dinamo Zagreb, and have established themselves firmly in the Croatian national team as well. Many critics have gone as far as to compare Baturina with the ageless Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric.

While Sucic is a defensive midfielder who can also play in a box-to-box role if needed, Baturina is a proper attacking midfielder who plays in the number ten position. It goes without saying that both players will add a lot of depth to whichever Manchester club they go to. TBR Football have also reported that the Manchester clubs have scouted both of these players for 18 months.

Manchester United and Manchester City have shared bad blood over Carlos Tevez's transfer

Manchester United and Manchester City have shared bad blood in the past over the transfer of former Argentina striker Carlos Tevez. This time around, however, they will be keen on ensuring that the battle does not get too ugly and that the two Croatian players are scouted with precision and then brought to north England with as much amiability as possible.

Tevez spent two years on loan at United from 2007 to 2009 before moving to the Red Devils' cross-town rivals in July of the latter year. The Argentine spent four seasons at the Etihad, during which he won the Premier League as well as the FA Cup.

At the moment, Manchester City are second in the EPL table with 23 points inside their kitty while Manchester United are languishing in the 13th position with 15 points.
