Manchester United have reportedly clarified their position on the Jadon Sancho transfer fiasco. According to Guardian reporter Jacob Steinberg, the club is content with Sancho staying at Old Trafford until Chelsea agrees with their terms.

The deal is complicated, according to Steinberg, with discussions ongoing on deadline day.

The Red Devils have reportedly asked for £25 million for Jadon Sancho on deadline day. According to The Athletic, Manchester United were initially looking for a permanent sale deal for Sancho. However, the lack of suitors for the 24-year-old has forced the club to consider loan deals if the right offer arrives.

Chelsea have reportedly made an offer for the out-of-favor Englishman. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reported that the offer involves an initial loan deal for Sancho. The Blues have supposedly offered more than Juventus, who were eyeing Sancho previously but didn't meet Manchester United's demands.

Jadon Sancho joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund in 2021. However, the left-winger hasn't been able to justify his £73 million price tag, scoring just 12 goals in 83 appearances for the club.

The Englishman also had a fallout with manager Erik Ten Hag at the start of the 2023/24 season. Sancho was frozen out of the squad and sent on loan to Dortmund in January.

Despite claiming that the two have resolved their differences, Ten Hag preferred Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo over Sancho in Manchester United's first two Premier League fixtures this season.

Manchester United have completed a deal to sign defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain on the summer transfer window deadline day.

The Old Trafford side have reportedly paid an initial £42 million, with an additional £8 million linked with performance-related bonuses. His contract with the Red Devils runs till 2029, with an option to extend for a further year.

According to reports, PSG had initially asked for a fee of £51.1 million, i.e., the money that they paid Sporting Lisbon last season for bringing Ugarte to Paris. However, a compromise was achieved, given the willingness of all three parties to get the deal done.

“It is an incredible feeling to join a club of this magnitude; one that is admired all around the world. The project that the football leadership discussed with me is extremely exciting, Manchester United is an ambitious club and I am an ambitious player," Ugarte said. (via Mirror).

Ugarte also talked about the passion of the fans at Old Trafford and highlighted his desire to succeed at the club. However, Manuel Ugarte will not be registered in time to face Liverpool on Sunday at Old Trafford.
