Manchester United star Amad Diallo is reportedly close to signing a new deal after a series of impressive showings for the Red Devils in recent weeks. The versatile forward has proven his worth to the club after being repeatedly overlooked by former manager Erik ten Hag prior to his sacking.
Formerly of Atalanta, Ivory Coast international Diallo has had to bide his time since arriving at Old Trafford in 2021, spending time on loan at Rangers and Sunderland. With the 22-year-old in the final months of his contract with Manchester United, the club has offered him fresh terms for a new deal.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester United are not looking to activate their option to extend Diallo's stay at the club until 2026. The club are instead offering him a new long-term deal with improved wages on the back of his impressive performances.
Amad Diallo has been impressive since Ten Hag left the Red Devils, showing his quality under Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ruben Amorim. The Ivorian star was the hero for his side in their games against Manchester City and Liverpool in the past month, scoring in both games. He became the third player in the history of the club to score in away games against both sides in the same season after Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
Diallo has six goals and seven assists in 28 appearances across all competitions for Amorim's side this season. He has been deployed in a variety of positions, playing as a winger under van Nistelrooy, and as a wing-back or inside forward under Amorim.
Manchester United offered Serie A gunman in swap deal - Reports
Manchester United have been offered Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in a cash-plus-player swap for Joshua Zirkzee, as per TEAMTalk. The Red Devils are looking to sign a new striker after both Rasmus Hojlund and Zirkzee have failed to impress this season.
Vlahovic is closing in on the end of his contract with Serie A giants Juventus, and the Bianconeri are keen to extract a transfer fee for the striker. With their interest in Zirkzee also being considered, they have offered the Serbia international to Manchester United in a deal that would bring Zirkzee to Turin.
Joshua Zirkzee is said to be interested in a reunion with former manager Thiago Motta in Turin after scoring just four goals for the Red Devils this season. With 18 months left on Vlahovic's contract, Juventus hope to send him to Manchester in exchange for Zirkzee and a transfer fee.
