Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is not keen on moving to the Saudi Pro League, according to TBR Football. There have been speculations surrounding the Englishman's future at Old Trafford after he was left out of the squad for the side's 2-1 league win over Manchester City on Sunday (December 15).

Rashford has struggled to impress this season, managing four goals and one assist in 15 league games. Ruben Amorim's decision to omit him entirely from the Manchester derby resurrected talks about his future at the club, with the Middle East being rumored as a potential destination for the 27-year-old.

However, as per the abovementioned report, Rashford is not interested in a move to Saudi Arabia where former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is plying his trade with Al-Nassr. He is ready to fight for his spot in the starting XI at Old Trafford.

The Saudi Pro League first showed interest in Rashford during the summer and are still monitoring his situation with the Premier League club. However, they will make an official move for him only if he is willing to play in the Middle East, a stance which doesn't seem likely at the moment.

Rashford prefers to keep playing in Europe. However, his heavy wage bill of £400,000 per week could make it difficult for him to land a move to another top European side. This leaves Saudi Arabia as his only feasible destination, as it stands.

"I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps" - Manchester United star Marcus Rashford responds to exit rumors

Marcus Rashford has responded to rumors linking him to an exit from Manchester United. The 27-year-old was left out of the squad for their 2-1 win over Manchester City last Sunday, which fueled rumors that he could be on the verge of leaving the club.

During a recent interview with journalist Henry Winter, Rashford responded to the rumors about his future, saying (via BBC):

"For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave it's going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person."
"If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me," Rashford added.

Rashford is contracted to Manchester United until June 2028. He has registered 138 goals and 63 assists in 426 appearances for the Red Devils.
