Manchester United are looking ahead to a new era under minority owners INEOS, who took charge at Old Trafford earlier this year. Erik ten Hag looks set to stay and is expected to invest wisely in the squad before the start of the new campaign.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have offered £51 million to secure the services of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana. Elsewhere, the English giants have set their sights on Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

On that note, here's a look at the key Manchester United transfer stories as on June 23, 2024:

Manchester United offer £51 million for Amadou Onana

Manchester United have submitted their opening offer for Amadou Onana, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Belgian midfielder has become a sought-after man this summer after a series of assured performances for Everton.

Onana registered three goals and one assist in 37 games across competitions for the Toffees in the 2023-24 campaign. The Red Devils are in the market for a new defensive midfielder amid the uncertainties surrounding Casemiro's future.

The legendary Brazilian has been a shadow of his former self recently and remains heavily linked with a move to the Middle East. Ten Hag is eager to bring in a replacement before the start of the new season and has identified Onana as his man.

Manchester United have offered £50.7 million for the 22-year-old, which includes £46.4 million upfront and the rest in add-ons. They are also ready to hand Onana a handsome contract should he agree a move.

The Merseyside club would ideally like to keep hold of their star but need to offload players to stay in line with the Premier League's new profit and sustainability rules. Barcelona also have their eyes on Onana but are aware that they cannot match the Red Devils' offer.

Red Devils eyeing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, says journalist

Manchester United have set their sights on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. The English midfielder was a key figure for Leicester City in the 2023-24 campaign, helping them win the Championship and secure promotion to the Premier League.

Dewsbury-Hall registered 12 goals and 15 assists in 49 games across competitions and is expected to take the next step in his career this summer. The Red Devils are looking for midfield reinforcements this summer and have apparently zeroed in on the 25-year-old.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jacobs added that Brighton & Hove Albion are also eyeing the Englishman.

"Manchester United are looking at a few names in that area. One is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who is on Brighton's radar as well and he might be available for £30-35million.
"Leicester were quoting £45million in January, and the compensation they received for Enzo Maresca helps them be a bit more bullish, as far as PSR is concerned," said Jacobs.

He continued:

"But they still may need to settle, so we'll wait and see whether they will entertain an offer for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. But the expectation is that he could be available on the market and for a relative bargain. So keep an eye on Manchester United and Brighton there."

Dewsbury-Hall is under contract at the King Power Stadium till 2027.

Manchester United ready to cash in on Marcus Rashford

Manchester United are willing to listen to offers for Marcus Rashford this summer, according to Football Insider. The English forward endured a forgettable 2023-24 campaign, scoring just eight goals and setting up five in 43 games across competitions.

Ten Hag's team suffered as a result, finishing eighth in the Premier League table. Rashford lost his place in the Dutchman's starting XI in the final weeks of the campaign and is no longer indispensable.

Ten Hag is already eyeing attacking reinforcements this summer and reportedly has Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee on his radar. With Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo among the talents at their disposal, the Red Devils are apparently willing to let Rashford leave should they receive a blockbuster offer.

Rashford signed a new deal at Old Trafford last summer, is under contract till 2028, and is among the club's highest earners. His poor recent form also saw him miss out on a place in the Three Lions' squad for Euro 2024.
