Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has opened up on his side facing Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester City in the FA Cup fourth round next month. The Red Devils have been drawn against the Foxes after beating Arsenal on penalties in the third round.

Amorim saw his side battle to a win at the Emirates Stadium despite going down to 10 men just about halfway through the third-round tie. The Manchester United coach spoke with the media about facing Leicester City, as the draw was conducted immediately after the final whistle.

Amorim said via Metro:

"Yeah, I’m going to see Ruud. I talked to him before I came [to Manchester United] and I’m looking forward to speaking with him. He’s a class guy but we need to win. Maybe we will be divided. He loves this club, we will see… but we need to win."

Leicester City booked their place in the fourth round with a convincing 6-2 win over second-tier outfit Queens Park Rangers at the King Power Stadium. They will savor their opportunity to seek revenge on the Red Devils, who sent them crashing out of the Carabao Cup in October with a 5-2 thrashing.

Ruud van Nistelrooy was in charge of Manchester United for that game, which was one of four games he took responsibility in an interim capacity. The Dutch legend stepped in temporarily after the club decided to part ways with Erik ten Hag, and he enjoyed an unbeaten stint in charge.

Ruben Amorim informed van Nistelrooy that he would not be needed on his staff after his appointment at Old Trafford, leading the former striker to resign.

The pair will face off in opposite dugouts in February with Amorim keen to keep his side's title defense going, and van Nistelrooy looking to prove a point.

Manchester United goalkeeper makes history in FA Cup thriller

Manchester United shot-stopper Altay Bayindir has made history for his side as they battled to a 5-3 penalty shootout victory over Arsenal. The Red Devils kept their hopes of defending the FA Cup alive with a hard-earned victory over the Gunners in the third round of the competition.

Bayindir, 26, has been a backup to Andre Onana since joining from Fenerbahce but grabbed the spotlight firmly with both hands in the win over Arsenal. The Turkish international became the first Premier League goalkeeper on record to save a penalty during the game and in the shootout in the same FA Cup tie.

Bayindir denied Martin Odegaard from the spot in the second half of regulation time before stopping Kai Havertz from scoring in the shootout. He recorded six saves in the game and was named as the Player of the Match.
