Palmer delivered a fine through pass from his half to find Pedro Neto, who then set up Jackson for the opener.
Alexander Isak restored parity for Newcastle in the 32nd minute, but Palmer put his side ahead two minutes after the break as he slotted past Nick Pope to score the winner. Overall, it was a dominant display from the London club, with Cole Palmer being a standout performer.
