Real Madrid star Lucas Vazquez has opened up about his future at the club amid the club's strong interest in Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold. The versatile Spaniard's future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been subject to speculations in recent months.

Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. The England international's current deal at Anfield expires this summer and he could reportedly be on his way to the Spanish capital club on a free transfer.

Alexander-Arnold's potential arrival could be a major blow to Vazquez who has been an important player for Los Blancos over the years. Although he has not been a regular starter for his boyhood club, Vazquez has almost always delivered when he has been called upon.

Amid all the speculations, Vazquez has spoken about his future and admitted that he is yet to make up his mind. He has insisted that he only wants to enjoy the season at the moment. The 33-year-old said, as quoted by Madrid Universal:

“My mind is full of everything. The option of continuing, not continuing, going somewhere else or retiring. I feel very good. I just want to enjoy this season.”

Vazquez has been a prominent figure for Real Madrid this season, with Dani Carvajal suffering a season-ending ACL injury at the start of the season. He has scored twice and provided three assists in 24 appearances this campaign.

Over the years, Vazquez has been an important squad player for Los Blancos thanks to his immense versatility. He has made 374 appearances for the club till date, contributing 38 goals and 69 assists, winning 20 trophies.

Bayern Munich are reportedly set to battle Real Madrid for the signature of Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold in the summer. As reported by sportBIBLE, the Bavarian giants are considering the opportunity to sign the creative full-back in the summer on a free transfer.

Alexander-Arnold has his current deal at Liverpool expiring in less than six months and has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid. Los Blancos reportedly even made a failed attempt to land the 26-year-old in January which was rebuffed by the Reds.

Alexander-Arnold is widely regarded as one of the best right-backs in the world and is blessed with an incredible vision. The Liverpool academy graduate has made 335 appearances for the Merseyside giants to date, scoring 20 goals and providing 85 assists.
