Chelsea fans on X believe Enzo Fernandez needs to be dropped from the starting XI after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest. The two sides faced each other in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, October 6.
The first half remained evenly contested with neither side being able to find a breakthrough. However, the visitors took the lead in the 49th minute when Chris Wood toed the ball past Robert Sanchez. Noni Madueke leveled the scores eight minutes later with a low curler into the bottom-left corner.
James Ward-Prowse received his second yellow card of the game in the 78th minute, reducing Forest to 10 men. Chelsea ramped up the pressure in search of a late winner, but both goalkeepers made some top saves to ensure both sides emerged with a point.
Fans were furious at Fernandez for his performance in midfield. The Blues' skipper failed to make any tackles from one attempt, was dribbled past thrice, and lost six duels. In addition, the 23-year-old midfielder delivered zero accurate crosses from four attempts and no goal contributions.
