Fans have taken to social media to react to Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr being named FIFA's 2024 The Best Men's Player of the Year. The Brazilian winger enjoyed a remarkable 2023-24 season, where he helped Los Blancos win La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, and the Supercopa de Espana.

Vinicius scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in 39 games across all competitions last season. Notably, he came second in the 2024 Ballon d'Or rankings, with Spain midfielder Rodri winning the coveted award.

Vinicius Jr did not attend the Ballon d'Or gala, with the Real Madrid contingent snubbing the ceremony after they learned that he would not win it. However, the 24-year-old has clinched the 2024 The Best Men's Player of the Year, and fans feel it is well deserved. They took to social media platform X with comments like these:

"No player deserves it more," a fan said.
"Football won this time. Congrats Vini Jr." another fan commented.
"The only deserving winner," a fan agreed.
"You can’t take this off him," another noted.
"Vinicius is the real ballon d'or," a fan claimed.
"They better return our Balon D’or too," another agreed.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti hails Vinicius Jr as "best in the world"

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti lavished praise on Vinicius Jr after Real Madrid's 3-2 win over Atalanta BC in the UEFA Champions League. He was one of the best players on the pitch when Los Blancos faced Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium on December 10.

Vinicius scored Madrid's second goal and provided the assist for Jude Bellingham to find the third. After the game, Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the press about the Brazilian winger, stating (via Fabrizio Romano on X):

“For us, Vinicius Jr continues to be the best in the world. He’s always there with enormous humility, which is not usual for a player of his level. But the level he is at does not surprise us.”

This season, the 24-year-old winger has been one of Real Madrid's most important players. He has scored 13 goals and provided nine assists in 20 games across all competitions.

The winger has struggled with fitness concerns, though. He missed four games - three in La Liga and one in the Champions League - in early December due to a muscle injury.
