Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has reacted to a fan page post on X that highlighted his performances in finals for the club. The Brazilian forward recently led Los Blancos to the FIFA Intercontinental Cup as they defeated Mexican club Pachuca 2-1 in the final on Wednesday, December 18.

Vinicius Jr was named Man of the Match in the clash with Pachuca. He provided the assist for the opening goal by Kylian Mbappe in the 37th minute. The Brazilian then converted an 84th-minute penalty after Lucas Vazquez was fouled in the box.

After the final, Madrid Xtra on X tweeted statistics about Vinicius Jr.'s performance in finals for Real Madrid. The fan page pointed out that the 24-year-old has registered 13 goal involvements in 12 final matches for the club.

Vinicius Jr reposted the tweet with the caption:

"Not bad."

Vinicius has proven himself multiple times by playing a crucial role in high-stakes matches for Real Madrid. He notably scored the winning goals in their Champions League final wins against Liverpool (2022) and Borussia Dortmund (2024). He also scored a brace in their 5-3 win over Al-Hilal in the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup final. He also scored a hat-trick in their 4-1 win over Barcelona in the Supercopa de Espana final.

The Brazilian winger notably missed out on the 2024 Ballon d'Or but was recently named the 2024 FIFA Best Men's Player of the Year. Vinicius Jr has won 14 major trophies for the LaLiga giants. He has registered 97 goals and 85 assists in 285 games for the club.

Pachuca coach hails Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr as "the best in the world"

Pachuca coach Guillermo Almada has hailed Real Madrid's attacking duo of Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe as the 'best in the world' after they propelled Los Blancos to a 3-0 win over his side in the Intercontinental Cup final on Wednesday.

After his side's loss, Almada said about Vinicius and Mbappe (via GOAL):

"Vinicius is the best in the world, along with Mbappe, and his level is difficult to control on a permanent basis. Until the goal, Vinicius did not appear but then, in a second, he did that and, that type of player is difficult to control for 90 minutes."

Vinicius Jr and Mbappe have been the firepower of Real Madrid's attack this season. The Brazilian has netted 14 goals and assisted 10 more in 21 matches across competitions, while the Frenchman has contributed 13 goals and three assists in 23 appearances.
