Portugal captain and Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo once claimed that he is a 'machine' while reacting to comments on his FIFA 18 card.

During a video of different players' reacting to their FIFA 18 base cards, the striker read out one of his fans' comments, which stated:

"At this rate, EA should just give Ronaldo a 100 rating and 99 in all stats. The man is a machine."

Ronaldo, 39, kissed his left bicep with a smile and responded:

"Of course I'm a machine."

In FIFA 18, the Portuguese was rated at a whopping 94. His card had 90 pace, 93 shooting, 82 passing, 90 dribbling, 33 defending, and 80 physicality. However, the attacker has suffered a drop in his rating of late.

In FC 24, the five-time Ballon d'Or award winner is currently rated at 86. His card currently has 77 pace, 88 shooting, 75 passing, 80 dribbling, 34 defending, and 74 physicality. With the player set to turn 40 next February, he could witness a drop in his rating in FC 25.

However, the Real Madrid legend relished an excellent season for Al-Nassr in the 2023-24 campaign. He found the back of the net 44 times and laid out 13 assists in 45 games across all competitions for his club.

Roberto Martinez claims Cristiano Ronaldo could be rested in Portugal's next contest

Speaking after his side's 3-0 UEFA Euro 2024 win over Turkey on Saturday (June 22), Portugal manager Roberto Martinez shared his thoughts on his locker room's mood. He told Portuguese outlet O Jogo:

"There is no such thing [as decompression] in our locker room. There is overcoming, companionship. It will be very important for us to see more players. Everyone has proven that they are prepared. I believe in everyone. Now is the time to give opportunities and improve the competitiveness of the locker room during the tournament."

Hinting Cristiano Ronaldo and others could be rested, he concluded:

"We're going to rotate some players, there are many who deserve to be in the [starting lineup] and aren't. The difficulty is to use everyone. It's to see in training those who are doing well and we're going to use all the players. They all play an important part in the national team. There are days when they need to be on the bench, others when they have to be on the field."

So far, Ronaldo has started both of Portugal's Group F games and has featured in every single minute of action, failing to score even once.

In Portugal's last Group F clash against Georgia on June 26, Martinez could opt to hand a start to the likes of Diogo Jota and Ruben Neves.
