The LaLiga match between Valencia CF and Real Madrid scheduled to be played on Saturday, November 2, has officially been postponed. The Spanish Football Federation RFEF made this announcement following the catastrophic flash flood that claimed a lot of lives on October 30 in the region of Valencia, Spain.

Following the severe flooding that affected the southeastern region of the country, Valencia CF requested the postponement of their Copa del Rey match with Parla Escuela on November 6. The RFEF has now postponed their match with Los Blancos that was to be played this weekend at the Mestalla Stadium at 9:00 p.m.

Given the devastating effect of the torrential rain in the Valencian community, the RFEF have also postponed all other matches that were scheduled to be played in Valencia this weekend. Consequently, there will be no football or futsal matches in the region.

The matches of matchday 12 of the First Division and matchday 13 of the Second Division that were to be played in the Valencian Community this weekend have been postponed. The decision came from the sole Judge of Professional Competitions.

The matches postponed include Villarreal CF-Rayo Vallecano (Saturday, November 2), Valencia CF-Real Madrid (Saturday, November 2), CD Castellón-RC Ferrol (Sunday, November 3), CD Eldense-SD Huesca (Sunday, November 3), and Levante UD-Málaga CF (Monday, November 4).

Also, the matches in Liga F (women’s football) were also postponed. The matches include Valencia Féminas-RC Deportivo and Real Madrid CF-Levante UD.

How Real Madrid reacted to the severe flooding that occurred in Valencia on Tuesday

The torrential rain in Valencia resulted in the loss of lives and damage to properties. Football clubs in LaLiga expressed their condolences for the victims of the disaster.

Los Blancos were one of the clubs that sympathized with the victims of the catastrophic incident. The club released a statement on their official website that reads:

"Real Madrid C. F., the club's president and the Board of Directors would like to extend their condolences to the families and loved ones of the people who have lost their lives as a result of the storm that has hit many areas of our country, especially in the provinces of Valencia and Albacete.
"Real Madrid is deeply saddened and expresses its solidarity with all the people affected by this catastrophe, to whom it conveys all its full support and sympathy."
