Al-Nassr fans on X have been left shellshocked after Cristiano Ronaldo missed a huge opportunity to double their lead against rivals Al-Hilal. The Knights of Najd are currently winning 1-0 in their Saudi Pro League fixture at Al-Awwal Stadium (Friday, May 17).
The hosts had the perfect start in the first minute when Otavio broke the deadlock, finding the top-right corner from a Cristiano Ronaldo assist. Ronaldo had a good chance to make it 2-0 in the 10th minute but only managed to find the side netting. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner then missed another big chance two minutes later, with his header going over the crossbar.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo made his biggest blunder in the 26th minute when Abdullah Al-Khaibari played an exquisite ball into the box. Ronaldo was in the perfect position to score but somehow missed the ball completely.
Al-Nassr fans reacted negatively with one fan posting:
"OMG RONALDO RETIRE!!"

"MISS OF THE SEASON WTF"

How has Cristiano Ronaldo fared this season for Al-Nassr?
Cristiano Ronaldo has had a relatively poor first half so far against Al-Hilal despite providing the assist for Otavio's goal. He has failed to land any of his three shots on target, missing two big chances in the process.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner will be backing himself to perform in the second half. He had been phenomenal this season for Al-Nassr, scoring 42 goals and registering 12 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
Moreover, Al-Nassr will have more motivation to get the win against Al-Hilal. The latter have already won the Saudi Pro League title and have a golden chance of finishing the season as invincibles. They are currently first with 89 points from 31 games, having won 29 games and drawing two.
