Former Victoria's Secret model Heidi Klum recently claimed that Hasan Salihamidzic should be kicked out of Bayern Munich. The Bavarians recently suffered a 3-1 defeat to RB Leipzig.
The result complicated the Bavarians' chances of winning the Bundesliga title this season. They have 68 points from 33 games and trail league leaders Borussia Dortmund by two points.
Klum, who follows, Bayern, took to Instagram after the game and when asked about Salihamidzic, she said (via German television channel n-tv):
"Actually, Hasan should go. Oops, did I say that? Oh, sorry."
The Bayern Munich hierarchy's decision to fire Julian Nagelsmann has tremendously backfired, The German manager was sacked in the fear of not winning the treble.
However, since Thomas Tuchel was appointed as Nagelsamann's replacement, they have been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League and the DFB Pokal and are also on the verge of not defending their status as the German champions.
Hasan Salihamidzic spoke about Bayern Munich's decision to sack Julian Nagelsmann
Julian Nagelsmann is one of the finest coaches in world football. While he is young, Nagelsmann was still building a solid project at Bayern Munich. Although the 35-year-old wasn't always perfect, there can't be any denying his understanding of the game.
Hence, Bayern's decision to part ways with Nagelsmann right after the team defeated Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over two legs in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 was questionable. Hasan Salihamidzic, though, defended the call. He said (via Bavarian Football Networks):
“All decisions were made to the best of our knowledge and belief for FC Bayern. I’m doing my job 24/7 and always trying to do my best. When you see what kind of team we had before the start of the season — it’s surprising to me too that we might not win any title this season."
He added:
“We looked at it for a long time and were of the opinion that we had to act. Thomas Tuchel needs the preparation (preseason) with the team, then everything will be better.”
Despite the recent struggles, there is no denying that Thomas Tuchel is an outstanding coach. The German, though, might need some time for his team to settle.
