Manchester City star Phil Foden has ranked former teammate David Silva over Portuguese attacker Cristiano Ronaldo in a recent blind ranking video ahead of EURO 2024.
A video was recently uploaded on the official TikTok account of EURO 2024, where Foden can be seen blind-ranking 10 past and present players who played at the championship. The list included the names of Paulo Maldini, Fernando Torres, Eden Hazard, Robin van Persie, and more.
The English forward ranked former Manchester United attacker Cristiano Ronaldo second. Later, when David Silva came into the video, Foden had the first and 10th spots vacant and he decided to put the Manchester City legend in the top spot.
David Silva joined Manchester City in June 2010 from La Liga side Valencia. During his time at the Etihad Stadium, he made 436 appearances, bagging 77 goals and 130 assists across all competitions. The former Spanish midfielder left Manchester City in 2020 to join Real Sociedad.
Meanwhile, Phil Foden has become a crucial part of the Etihad outfit in recent years. He has made 270 appearances for the senior team, bagging 87 goals and 53 assists. He's expected to perform similarly under Gareth Southgate at the Euro Championships.
The Three Lions will commence their Euro 2024 campaign on Sunday, June 16, against Serbia. Later, England will face Denmark on June 20 (Thursday), before they play their last group-stage match against Slovenia on June 26 (Tuesday).
