Football pundit William Gallas has claimed that Cole Palmer can become the best player in Europe once he replicates his Chelsea form with England. He stated that the Englishman's performances have been brilliant, and he does not seem to feel the pressure.

Speaking to Prime Casino, Gallas claimed that Palmer was on top of his game during Chelsea's 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend. He added the build up to Enzo Fernandez's goal showed the quality of the Englishman.

Gallas also reserved praise for Enzo Maresca for allowing the former Manchester City forward to play with freedom. He said (via GOAL):

"Cole Palmer can be the best player in Europe but I don’t want to hail him as the best player in the game until he does what he has done for Chelsea with England. But he has already put in so many great performances for Chelsea and looks like he doesn’t feel any pressure at all, he is so cool. The two penalties summed him up, Enzo Maresca has given him so much freedom and allowed him to play exactly where is best for him which has worked so well."

Cole Palmer has scored 33 goals and provided 17 assists for Chelsea in the Premier League since moving from Manchester City in 2023. He has already registered 11 goals and six assists for them this season in the league.

Chelsea star Cole Palmer is the best player in the Premier League, claims Jamie Carragher

Jamie Carragher was on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football earlier this week and claimed that Cole Palmer has been the best player in the Premier League over the last 18 months. He believes that the Englishman has been better than the likes of Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka. The Liverpool legend said (via One Football):

“Last season, I was a little bit reticent to say he was the best player in the Premier League. I actually felt he was, but the fact Chelsea hadn’t had such a great season, and I ended up going for Foden, just above him and most people thought the same. But inside, I felt like he was the best player in the Premier League. And on the back of last season and this season, if he carries on like this again, through this season. I think he’s the best player in the Premier League, I do.”

Cole Palmer has helped the Blues move to the second spot in the league – just four points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
