The Canadian international is a top target for Los Blancos as they look to reinforce their defensive department.

Davies is in the final months of his contract at Bayern Munich and has yet to sign a new deal. Madrid are either looking to sign him in the upcoming winter transfer window or are hopeful that he will run down his contract with the Bundesliga giants so they can snap him on a free next summer.

Recent reports hinted that Bayern are keen on keeping Davies at the club and are preparing a new contract for him. The players' financial demands were also suggested as a reason why talks over a possible deal for the 24-year-old have stalled.
