According to a report by Defensa Central (via the Kop Times), Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Brazil international Ederson from Serie A side Atalanta. The midfielder is also the target of Premier League giants Liverpool and has a decision to make in the coming days.

The reigning LaLiga and UEFA Champions League holders are looking to sign a replacement for German legend Toni Kroos, who retired from professional football this summer. Ederson is one of the players being considered to replace the veteran midfielder.

Real Madrid will hope they can convince the 25-year-old to join their team and strengthen their ranks, as they look to dominate in the season ahead. Ederson joined the Bergamo-based side in 2022 from Salernitana for a reported €22.9 million fee. He has registered nine goals and three assists in 100 games for the Serie A side.

The Brazilian was part of the team that tasted UEFA Europa League success last season.

"It fills you with excitement, doesn't it?" - Premier League defender excited at links to Real Madrid

Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has expressed excitement at being linked to Real Madrid. The Spaniard has been part of the Lillywhites' defense since he arrived in 2023. His ability to go forward is one of his greatest strengths.

Los Blancos need defensive reinforcements after preferred right-back Dani Carvajal sustained a cruciate ligament tear in their LaLiga clash with Villarreal on Saturday (October 5). While Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is their preferred target, the former Sporting CP defender is also on the list.

Speaking to Relevo about his links with the Spanish giants , Porro said (via FotMob):

"It fills you with excitement, doesn't it? You have to focus on your work, but the fact that Real Madrid is interested in you is because you are doing things well. That's how I think about it on a day-to-day basis. Well, if that moment has to come, it will come. And if it doesn't, well, I'll just keep working as I have been doing."

The defender added that he was confident of making the step up to Los Blancos, saying:

"Yes. Obviously yes, because as I told you, I try to work and give my best every day. If I get the chance to make that leap tomorrow, I will be prepared for that very reason. I will have much more experience. If you had told me this years ago, I would have told you that I wasn't. Because I'm being honest. Let's see what happens."

Porro joined Tottenham Hotspur last season for a reported €40 million fee from Sporting CP. He has played 5246 minutes for the side across 62 games and pitched in with an impressive eight goals and 10 assists while playing mostly at right-back.
