Brazilian attacker Rodrygo has returned to Real Madrid's team training. As per Fabrizio Romano, the 23-year-old is now expected to gain full fitness ahead of schedule. Rodrygo was substituted after only 20 minutes during Real Madrid's 4-0 victory over Osasuna on November 9 due to a muscle injury.
The 23-year-old suffered a strain in the rectus femoris muscle of his left leg. It was later claimed that the Brazilian attacker will miss at least five to six weeks of action. However, as per the aforementioned source, Rodrygo has returned to team training and will soon return to the pitch for Carlo Ancelotti's side.
Despite Rodrygo's return, Real Madrid have a concerning list of injuries. Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao have suffered ACL injuries and will remain on the sidelines for the entirety of the season. Meanwhile, Austrian defender David Alaba's return to action is still uncertain.
Lucas Vasquez is also expected to remain out of action for a few matches while midfielder Federico Valverde is playing as the right-back. Vinicius Jr is also sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Additionally, French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga sustained a hamstring injury during Real Madrid's 2-0 loss to Arne Slot's Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week. Next up, Carlo Ancelotti's side will face host Getafe at Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, December 1.
