Al-Nassr fans have conveyed their displeasure on X despite Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. securing a 1-0 win against Esteghlal. The two sides faced off in the AFC Champions League at the Rashid Stadium on Tuesday, October 22.

The Knights of Najd struggled to be clinical for most of the game and appeared to be heading towards a stalemate. Fortunately for them, Aymeric Laporte headed home from close range following a corner in the 81st minute to help seal the win. Wesley struck the post seven minutes later as Al-Nassr secured a 1-0 victory.

Cristiano Ronaldo's side dominated possession during the game with 65 percent of the ball, completing 570 passes with an accuracy of 89 percent. They also landed 18 shots in total, with 10 being on target. In contrast, Esteghlal only had 35 percent possession and completed 282 passes with an accuracy of 81 percent. They also failed to trouble the visitors much going forward, landing seven shots in total with just one being on target.

Despite Al-Nassr's statistical dominance, fans were unhappy with their style of play and lack of team chemistry. One fan posted:

Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted on Instagram after his side secured an important 1-0 away win against Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League. They are now fourth in the West group with seven points from three games, two points behind leaders Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo had a decent game up front, completing 26 passes from an attempted 32 with an accuracy of 81 percent. The 39-year-old also created two chances, landed three shots on target from four attempts, and won two duels.

Stefano Pioli's flawless record as Al-Nassr manager has now extended to seven wins in seven games. They next face Al-Kholood in the Saudi Pro League on Friday, October 25.
