Fans on X reacted after Spain impressed in their 4-1 win against Georgia at Euro 2024. La Roja came out on top in their Round of 16 clash, despite trailing 1-0 in the first half at the RheinEnergieStadion on Sunday, June 30.

Georgia took a shock lead in the 18th minute against the run of play when Robin Le Normand bundled the ball into his own net from Otar Kakabadze's cross. Spain responded well, but Giorgi Mamardashvili continued his exceptional Euro 2024 form to deny Fabian Ruiz and Marc Cucurella.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri came up clutch once again to level the scores with a fierce drive in the 39th minute. Lamine Yamal then delivered an accurate cross into the path of Ruiz in the 51st minute, who made no mistake from close range to give his side the lead.

Georgia had a massive chance to get back into the game in the 68th minute, but substitute Giorgi Tsitaishvili was only able to hit the side netting. Yamal found the back of the net six minutes later, but his goal was overruled by VAR due to an offside in the build-up.

However, Spain weren't to be denied in the 75th minute with Nico Williams scoring from a good counter-attack. Dani Olmo made it 4-1 eight minutes later with a brilliant curling effort to ensure La Roja made it to the final eight at Euro 2024.
