Fans have taken to social media to praise Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana following their 1-1 Premier League draw against Ipswich town. Both sides faced off at Portman Road on November 24, with the Red Devils widely expected to beat their opponents, who are stuck in the relegation zone.

However, the game might have gone in Ipswich's favor, if not for a series of impressive saves from Andre Onana. The Cameroon goalkeeper conceded a goal from an Omari Hutchinson deflected shot, but he was world-class throughout the game.

The Manchester United goalkeeper made five important saves and eight recoveries. Ipswich had three massive chances, but Onana kept them all out as he stood firm in between the sticks. Without his heroics, the Red Devils could have conceded a lot more than just one goal.

Fans on social media took notice of his brilliant performance and they shared comments like these:

"Onana literally saved them from a heavy defeat 😂" a fan laughed.
"S**te. Literally just Onana that kept us even getting a point," a United fan was upset.
"Andre Onana has comfortably been Manchester United’s best player this season and is now of the Premier League best keepers. He single-handedly stopped United from losing today." another fan noted.
"If not for Onana this would’ve been 4-1 L! Big job ahead for Amorim with the set of players he got." another fan claimed.
"Onana saved us. We would have lost." another Manchester United fan added.
"I would like to thank Onana for one point," this fan said.
"Straight L if not for Onana," another fan warned.

Manchester United forced to share the spoils at Ipswich

Manchester United will rue their performance against Ipswich, as they were unable to secure all three points and climb up from the mid-table in the Premier League. They are 12th in the standings, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool while Ipswich are 18th.

The Red Devils scored the first goal through Marcus Rashford, in what was arguably their best chance of the game, in the second minute. However, Hutchinson equalized on the cusp of half-time (43').

United had most of the possession (60%), but Ipswich seemed to be more clinical in front of goal. The hosts had 11 shots with six on target, unlike the Red Devils, who had 11 shots with just four on target.

The Red Devils were more intent on keeping the ball, making 563 passes (87% accuracy). Ipswich had fewer passes (348 passes, 83% accuracy). Neither side could find the net in the second half, with the game eventually ending level.
