Fans on social media have lauded Kylian Mbappe following Real Madrid's 4-2 win over Sevilla in La Liga on Sunday (December 22). Mbappe was brilliant in attack as he scored a goal and registered an assist.
Mbappe opened the scoring for Los Blancos in the 10th minute after being set up by Rodrygo. In the 20th minute, Federico Valverde doubled Madrid's lead following a pass from Eduardo Camavinga.
Rodrygo (34') scored Real Madrid's third goal after being set up by Lucas Vasquez. Isaac Romero was able to pull one back for Sevilla in the 35th minute. He was assisted by Juanlu Sanchez.
Mbappe set up Brahim Diaz in the 53rd minute, who made it 4-1 with a left-footed strike. In the 85th minute, Peque Fernandez set-up Dodi Lukebakio, who scored for the visitors, but it ended up being a mere consolation goal.
In 90 minutes on the pitch, Mbappe had a passing accuracy of 85% (29/34). He registered two shots on target and created five chances.
In the game's aftermath, fans took to X to commend the Frenchman for his performance, with one tweeting:

Following the victory against Sevilla, Mbappe stated that he knows that he can give more for Los Blancos. The Frenchman has been criticized for his performances since joining Madrid as a free agent from PSG this summer.
In his post-match interview, Mbappe said (via Madrid Zone):
"I know I can give more. In the last few games, I played better. The Bilbao game was good for me, I missed a penalty and it was time for me to realise that I have to give everything for this shirt and do my best."
Mbappe has scored 13 goals and registered three assists in 23 games for Real Madrid this season and remains a key member of Carlo Ancelotti's squad.
