Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate has opened up on the pressure that Real Madrid and France star Kylian Mbappe faces. The 25-year-old forward is one of the best players in the world currently and a key player for his country and club.
Speaking to the press ahead of Le Bleus' clash with Isreal in the UEFA Nations League, the defender said (via Spanish publication Sport):
"Sometimes I put myself in Kylian's place. If I had all that fuss around me, I don't know if I would have held on. He might even have a Psychological crisis, I have no idea if he had it, I'd love to discuss it with him"
The Liverpool defender's concern about the Real Madrid star is valid, with Kylian Mbappe being in the public eye since his teenage years at AS Monaco. He has led his nation to the FIFA World Cup and has already played 384 club games that have seen him bag 295 goals and 197 assists.
He has also played 6552 minutes for France across 86 games, bagging 48 goals and 35 assists.
